In 2011, the New Orleans Academy of Ophthalmology recognized the need for a quality, recurring ophthalmic education meeting for technicians and office staff. In 2012, the first annual Technicians Conference debuted to a standing room only audience. We are proud to continue this vital meeting with updates each year!

New for 2019: A two day conference that will include an exclusive day for ophthalmic technicians (Friday, February 15). On Saturday February 16, there’s a half day for administrators, and a 1/2 day for imagers. Topics for 2019 include: Updates on Glaucoma Medications, MIGS update, Neuro problems not to miss, Security Risk Assessment for MIPS/MACRA, Artificial Intelligence in the Medical Practice, Anatomy of the Optic Nerve, and Is your Perimetry as Good as it can be.
