In 2011, the New Orleans Academy of Ophthalmology recognized the need for a quality, recurring ophthalmic education meeting for technicians and office staff. In 2012, the first annual Technicians Conference debuted to a standing room only audience. We are proud to continue this vital meeting with updates each year!

N.B. The city of New Orleans was not impacted by the weather on Tuesday, February 8th. Homes were damaged in New Orleans East, a section of the city 15 miles away from the center of New Orleans. The Symposium and Technicians’ Conference will go as planned and we welcome you to our city.
In addition to our annual Technician’s Conference held on the Friday of the Annual Symposium, we are pleased to announce that we have partnered with EyeTeachU to add a second day of content for ophthalmic personnel. EyeTeachU is an ophthalmic educational partnership between Denice Barsness, CRA, COMT, FOPS and Mark Maio, FOPS.

Rooms are $229 per night and it is recommended that reservations should be made well in advance, as there will be limited room availability after December 31, 2016.
This course will be submitted to JCAHPO for consideration of CE credit. The registration fee includes all course materials and refreshments. Cancellation requests must be made in writing via e-mail, facsimile or by mail. A cancellation fee of $20.00 will be assessed if request is postmarked by February 1, 2017. After February 1, the cancellation fee is $50.00. Please enclose a copy of your confirmation slip with your notice of cancellation. Note: No refunds will be made once the meeting begins.
