2014 Speaker Spotlight: Audina Berrocal, MD
Dr. Berrocal is currently Assistant Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology and Medical Director of the Retinopathy of Prematurity Service at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. Many of Dr. Berrocal’s pediatric patients are premature babies born with various retinal conditions whom she sees in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine/Jackson Memorial Hospital. She also works with adult patients suffering with vitreoretinal conditions, often performing delicate surgery in order to treat them.
Dr. Berrocal has written about topics including the Current Clinical Management of Retinopathy Of Prematurity, and will be discussing ROP and hosting a workshop on Retinal Management After Complicated Cataract: What to Do When A Case Goes South.
