The Academy offers several activities to the benefit of its
members. One of the more popular activities is our ongoing series of
dinners. The dinners feature speakers of national renown
on a variety of topics. On February 8, 2006, the NOAO members were
reunited after a 6- month evacuation to
a terrific dinner at Bacco Restaurant in the French Quarter. Alcon
hosted Dr. Matthew McMenemy, who gave a fascinating lecture on Medical
Therapies of Glaucoma. Ruth's Chris Steakhouse was the site of a
delicious dinner and informative presentation by Dr. Richard Parrish, III, of
Bascom Palmer, on August 17, 2006.
The lecture, What Does the Medicare Drug Benefit Mean for Dual Eligible
and Low Income Beneficiaries, was supported by
Pfizer. Special thanks to all
of our generous supporters and speakers for their time and effort! |
